Answering my own questions..... it's 1/4" NPT
So I'll try to find a 1/4 NPT to M10x1 adapter. Here's one:

Still curious if it's OK to block off that oil outlet though.

John, is that Nazi theory about not connecting wasser to the kompressor applicable for Der GaylanteWagen ?

The 4G63T runs a wee bit on the hot side you reckon the turbo being water cooled aswell causing it ?

yeah Mustafa, I can't imagine that the japanese would want to inject so much heat into the cooling. everything I know about turbos say it is the volume of oil which carries the heat away, and the water coolong all about post shut down internal cooking of the oil and the resultant crystalization of oil in the tiny tiny passages.
never looked much into those tiny little Japonaise turbos but in GARRETTS, some of those passages are about 0,5mm, and doesn't take much sludgie-poo to block that off.
also remember they want the oem turbos to last for 60,000 miles for warranty, we will be happy if they do 20,000.
and if we size them right they ought to do near that cause we're not being toooooooo crazy, are we?

OK I've got the oil system figured out, yay.

Last question is what to do with this weird turbo drain back thing....
Inverted flare somethingorother to -6 ??

Arrrgh. Insano adapter

The fitting with the hard line. Cut the hard line . Mash it closed. Get JVL to weld it shut. Check for leaks. Mash and weld as necessary.

Rich, what are you talking about? Skye, I've used a 1/2 NPT 45 degree to 1/2" or 5/8" hose barb. Then connected the oil drain with purosil and hose clamps. Also requires a new drain fitting on the turbo. JGS sells a kit like this. Look here-
http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html
It is a drain after all and isn't under pressure.

The block has a baffle, or some of them do, on the oil return in the block.
