Well no more DNF's cause of that

So at sno drift I dnf'd on the first day because my alt came loose, shredded the belt, and the battery died about .25 mile from the end of the last stage. Then the next day I checked the bolts at every service, and they were always coming loose again.
So I went to the local grocerie/hardware store a couple days ago and picked up a turnbuckle.
Installed it like so:

Now no more slippy alt.
Heres the old arm:

Yay for $3 fixes!

DOOOOOooood,
I'm waaaaaaaaaay cornfused.
You say the bolts were coming loose, right?
You replaCE THE FLAT STAP THING WITH A TURNBUCKLE.
Fucking caps lock doesn't "peep" why??

You still have the bolts and it seems they are still the same ol scroddy bolts.

What has been solved???

Have you considered fresh bolts of the correct length??

I fink he was referring to the bolt that resides in the middle of the slidy groovy thingy.

The bolts would come loose and the alt would slip down. But now if the bolties come loose there will be no more belt slippage cause the alt cant loosen up, jaknow? One of two problems solved, then. The other is easy too with some new bolters.
