Sounds like a good case for a 240 Volvo!

It's sitting at the shop with the cage tacked into place waiting for the welder to finish it up.

The subie is finally off to the frame shop this week to get pulled before I start surgery on it.

Between work, school and the house it's tough to keep up with all of the projects. It doesn't stop me from trying though....

Cossie - Is the front guts of an RSX the same as the EP3? I ask because it may make economical sense to pick up a wrekced type-s since if i can use the entire front subframe, contol arms, hubs, motor/tranny etc.

Yeah man its all the same and will all bolt up, and with the type-s you get a 6spd and 40 more horsepower. All you have to do is get a Kpro to re-map the ECU for the new engine and deactivate the immobilizer.

The only difference is that the type-s uses the bigger 36mm hubs vs the 32mm in the EP3 so with new hubs you need to get new axles as well.

The one that got away! I had a corolla shell that I was playing with but ran out of space at my old place and had to let it go. Traded is for some evo x control arms.

Hell ya honda would kill they make eg hondas with struts up front!!!!!

id go with a 93 civic sedan it has 3 more inch's of wheel base. over the hatch.

and i would do all the links with himes and 4130 for cheap to have the jigs on file.

with the older hondas you can save alot of cash and build a ground up honda for cheap.

you could have spare parts for days with that car.

Do you have anything Heim'd for those hondas? I'm building an EG right now with an RSX motor, dogbox, forged 4 pot/2 pot calipers, floor pedal box, DMS dampers, etc, etc, and the suspension links are the one thing I havent figured out what to do.

The only stuff I see that would benefit going tubular is the rear lower control arm. Could swap the rear camber/toe links as well for a heim link to get rid of the rubber.

In front, there's not much... maybe make a tubular upper control arm with Heim's at the base or even a tubular lower control arm? But I'd rather just plate OEM stuff on upper/lower or plate a skunk2 upper to get adjustable camber.

Paulino, No1: send samoples to him or to me--we loosely working together.
We intend to try to have stuff with LHD/RHD sleev so you need not pull the inner pivot bolt to twirl the ends.
But that means machining up some adjuster deals and we've been trying to farm out that specific part---and same time make one we can use on warmed over Golves so the can get some strength, Subies just cause there's millions of them and of course on the nicer cars like Xratties and Volvos 240s that all the cool kids are driving....

So send samples---MARK THEM WITH A PAINT PENCIL!!!!, then when the samples are here call him or me.

I tell you Paul, he's itching to see a well done Honda...

What suspension is the "EG"---that's something you gotta watch though---using those "EG" EK bullshit when we know them as "93 Civic"---using?

Re: EP3??

EG = 1992-1995 which shares suspension with 1994-2001 Integra
EK = 1996-2000
EP = 2002-2005

The EG, Ek and EP are chassis codes for the hatchbacks but people throw them around to describe the generation.

Both the EG/EK are dual wishbone setups. EP has the struts in front.

ya well I would need samples and see how complicated it would be. and what approach,
and please not camber plates there a joke, they take about 4 times the movement to
make any differences that adjustable arms and you get bomb proof components. weld up
a top mount place with a huge bearing cup there dirt cheep.
