Wasting money on brand new coolers and remote thermostats is half assed.
I want to know what you paid for that little tiny cooler and the even tinier PS cooler so I can bitch you out properly.

You can pull the adaptor on the head and stick the idiot light send there or just plug it.
(I have like 5 of the Volvo auto trans coolers which are perfect for ther PS cooler)

New? No way. Used. Those Nascar guys like to get rid of stuff and give it away kinda cheap to free (see aforementioned free hoses). All the hose has Kevlar/Nomex heat shield wrap too, which will be nice for turbo feed and return.

You know what's worse than sitting in the sun pulling parts from the junkyard. Driving a total of about 40 miles to go to two different junkyard, hauling all of your tools around through the junkyard with a list of parts from about 4-5 different cars that you could use, and not finding one of the cars. Now do this three to four times and you'll see what I've been doing on Saturday mornings. Talk about wasted effort and quite annoying.

No shit. Sunday morning was the most annoying because I rode my scooter the 12+ miles to the one with a heavy backpack full of tools. Nothing I was looking for was there. Went looking for something else. 4 stores later (furthest at 7 miles from home) with no luck. Gave up and went home, then to work. Pretty much nothing but breakfast and pet food purchasing was accomplished that day. Though I did hear this week about a red XR at a junkyard down south in pristine condition. Place is mainly Subaru, Toyota, Honda so not many Merkur owners have stumbled across it.

Scroll to "Oil Line Adapters for -AN Style Lines".

These are standard parts, too, I know my Aeroquip book lists them. There are two different sizes, 16mm and 18mm, apparently the SA/FB cooler (bungs stick out towards back) are 16mm, the FC (banjo on side, same car you grab the calipers from) are 18mm.

I wouldn't recommend retapping, as the coolers are fairly weak. I've replaced quite a few SA/FB type that were cracked in the bung area. Maybe the FC units are stouter, but still $20 + shipping (maybe less!) is a small price to pay to avoid pipe threads.
