What I did on the Garage this weekend - today
February 14, 2012 12:08AM
Crane Rally Crew garage getting a whiteboard colored upgrade.
All the easier to work on 'hatches' and 'patches'
a friend is going to come buy and give an expert opinion about removing the center beam.
two more weeks until the electrician comes for the 220v sub panel and lighting upgrade.

I'm going to put the updates at the TOP!!

And Another!

Jesse is also the electrician coming to put in the 220v sub panel.

You seem to have an issue with work ethics... I didn't see one beer consumed :-)
Nice wall! Ceiling next?

I've been 4 years doing the inside of my shop, as time/money allows... the biggest problem is using it at the same time... everytime you go to do somethinmg you need to move a whole pile of stuff. Maybe I'll be done in another 4 years, or maybe it'll never be done!

It is amazing how much better the lighting gets with white walls! How about some heat?

I'll have to remember that.. some white walls or high gloss white paint would be great in a garage.. hmm...

The turntable thing is this:
http://www.amazon.com/camalapse/dp/B005DMC2Z6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1329374549&sr=8-3
I got it for christmas from a rally supporter, and enjoy using it with the contour on 1photo/5sec mode.
basically an egg timer with a camera stud 1/4 -20.
it only does counter clockwise, and only 360deg/hr

I'm a big fan of my portable storage unit (Van VanLandingVan) where I've got spares and equipment out of the way while i finish the garage.
Getting it sorted back into the garage in a useful way will be interesting.

and as for the beer, that was a sunday noon to 5, my saturday was a bit drinky (thus the noon).

Robert, do they make little waste oil heaters? I think my diesel takes 3 gallons of oil to refill.

Adam,

I'm shure that there is such a thing as a small waste oil heater but I have not seen one. The ones I have run were large enough to heat a comercial shop. I have been using an old fuel oil furnace that I salvaged out of a house that was being torn down. The heater has no electrical parts, just a control valve. I light it with a match. The dam thing will keep my shop 90F if I want it! It burns really clean so my neighbors don't get pissed off. I would cruise Craig's List for a heater and tank. You can get a better price on fuel if you buy >150 gallons of home heating oil (non taxed diesel) at a time

I'm on for viewing rally Mexico.

I have an old kerosene heater box that I run on diesel, It will keep my garage pretty warm on about 1.5 galons on a Saturday. It is like 1930's Kenmore. I love it.

last two.

Check out the team website in my signature for bit more explanation.

If someone has a projector, we could watch WRC Mexico in there in a week or so.
