Escorts???
March 08, 2007 12:25AM
As I was growing up one of my favourite shows on the shit box was a English series called "Proffesionals" In the show the heros always drove Ford Escorts. Ever since than I fell in love with em. But what makes the escort (mk1 & mk2 that is) such a good rally car? It can post times similar to modern high end machines, how?, why?
What s so special about the atlas rear end and BDA motor?

I stand corrected; they didnt actually always drive escorts but mostly FORDs (Granadas, RS2000, capris and such)

In the earlier part of the season, Bodie and Doyle both drove white RS2000 Mk. 2's. They switched to Capri Mk. 3's later on.

Ah yes, The Professionals.
I used to love that show as a kid. Don't remember the Escorts but I can never forget the Capri's ever sideways and crashing through shit.
