What wheels for an XR4Ti?

What wheels are the cool kids running to clear big brakes on the front? I am building two customer cars and need wheels soon.

Used junk. I really like the Saab wheels. I do have a set of Arcasting rally wheels, they were for the Focus, but work well. I have found that a 25mm spacer in the front was required for suspension clearance for any wheel I have used.

It's this one Robert. They seem to be very strong.

I have 15X6et25 and 15X7et40 wheels for front and rear respectively. Compomotive MO wheels so a bit pricey. No spacers needed on mine though probably sit in about same place outboard as Sean's setup with spacer.

With John's big brake set up I measured 55mm offset needed.

Huh? I have John's setup and a TON of room with my wheels. I had to use a 25mm spacer with the 15X7et40s but the 15X6 et 25 is almost in the same spot outer (2.4mm further out) but 27.7mm outboard on the inside so clears the damper. A 15X6et40 with a 25mm spacer would be in the same spot essentially.

I took the stock wheels and added washers untill the caliper did not touch. I measured the washers and added that to the offset of the wheel. Sorry I don't have my notes in front of me. The studs are not long enough for a 25mm spacer.

The STOCK studs? Those are too short for anything cooler than a stock wheel.

John will tell you to get some red VW Microbus studs (with shovels and rakes and implements of destruction) from Bug Pack, but I think they are M14, the Merkur Pervs will tell you to get ARP 100-7708 studs, which have 2" of thread.

Ah... You want to subtract that offset from the stock wheel not add the washer.
So if stock wheel is 15X6et40 and you have 15mm of washers you want a 15X6et25. Not sure what the stock wheels are though as they went straight to the alley where the unemployed scour and they were gone within 15 minutes but I bet they're around there.

What's stock offset?
Do these two cars have JVAB dampers too? Guessing Jason's car does.
The Saab 9000 wheels are what John likes as I recall. They clear the brakes I think but hit the spring so have to be spaced out with a 25mm spacer. Ford Focus is the application of the spacer you want. The ARP long studs are needed regardless. Or you can go with upsized M14 ones, which I have but never actually got around to installing. Story of my rally life lately...

So longer studs with a spacer might be the simple fix, enabling me to stick with stockers for now? I hate to buy wheels I don't ultimately want, and I hate to spend $$ on rally wheels now, when I don't need em for a while.

That might work for now.
Or find the wheels Sean has that will also need a spacer and get the longer studs.
MC2 has the studs I think as I think that's where I bought them. Any ARP dealer should be able to get them.
The spacers I have are Eibach for a Focus I think.
