Those tires aren't cut - that's the way they come. I'm thinking about trying to cut a set of blizzaks to look like the yoko snows and see how they work. Both those tires would be a terrible choice as JVL's said on dirt and would probably die a quick death in mud as well. For budget mud tires, check out the Hankook I-Pike snow tire. Dave |

My car came with a carbon fiber duck tail in the back seat. As far as I can tell it has never been installed though it is not in pristine condition as it has two scratches in the jell coat. I think I'll sell it but I don't know what it's worth. It only weighs 11lbs!

They only fit on the rear, and driving a RWD at low speeds in snot is... difficult. You have to kinda chuck the car at the corner and drive with the rear tires since the front tires don't do much other than pack up with crap and turn into slicks, no matter how aggressive the tread. Easy to wash out and/or spin depending on how you aimed the car. I found that having enough power to keep the rear tires spinning and therefore clear *seems* to be enough. That and careful throttle modulation. And driving fast enough that the fronts don't pack up in the first place, which is one of those chicken and egg things.

All loaded up for the RallyCross tomorrow. I hope we get to run. Because the car was in pieces last week I didn't preregister so I am 2nd and my co-driver 4th on the wait list. Hopefully four people have too much to drink tonight and can't get out of bed in the morning.
