VW Wilwood brake setup

Saw this on the vortex and thought some folks here might be interested...

If we ever out grow the 10.1" brakes, we might go with something like this...I also like running 14" wheels cause the are pretty much free.

I worked out, after much study, that using the Corrado brakes got me better brakes then the Wilwood kit...

Using Porterfield R4 I had brake fade once, on big down hill stage, and we managed 2nd overall and the fade was not all that bad.

It did require 15" wheels however..

In the long run reality always wins.

I've got an 11" brake setup for a 4x100 VW, knuckles calipers and caliper brackets. All oem vw stuff. Someone can buy it if they want.

So what's the brake setup to run on these for 14" wheels? Josh? Car is a Jetta with good 2L, sweet gearbox, diff, etc. Upgrading suspension and brakes. Going to use A3 hub/bearing housing.

For 14" wheels, you have to stick with the 10.1" rotors...A3 hub/bearing/upright

stock rotors and calipers with porterfeild pads...

Can't do much more with 14" unfortunately

Add ducting if you have heat problems

We found that we had heat problems after installing a front air-dam for the tarmac at Rally Tennessee--next year we may have an 11" setup for tarmac where we usually run 15" wheels
