Duratec 2.3 out of a Ranger with a 2.0L crank and long rod setup. Direct to head ITBs from SBD and Weber Alpha Pro engine management. 210-215 hp and 8000-9000 red line. Brilliant.

In the future I want to build a Group 2 Fiesta with basically that setup. The new generation is supposedly coming here next year.

Just my 2% of a buck.
I went with an Autronic for my Subaru.
The guy that runs Autronic used to be a partner at Motec (IIRC).
It was a little cheaper than a Motec and is not so advanced, however it comes with the capability to do everything right out of the box, rather than having to pay to unlock different capabilities.

I may be completely wrong here, but this info is worth exactly what you paid for it. grinning smiley

I'm quite certain with real rods and crank you can have more like 250 with that setup.

Don't know about the Motec connection, but, following my suggestions above, Autronic is good for Subs and Evos as they have really tackled the Gr N. rally market in Australia, have a LOT of base maps that perform well for various tuned GN cars, and a lot of american rallyists use them (support/help).

The owner of my shop just dialed in some amazing launch control on a production Talon yesterday. This is using a Hydra. We had been using a rev limit of like 5k to 5500 on the subies but after him speaking with element tuning he set up the Talon with a rev limit of just 3300 and a ton of boost. We launched it a few times in the parking lot and it was intense. Unfortunately the owner of the car discovered we had torn apart a CV boot in the process. He got off lucky, Vanos car was routinely shearing off half shafts last year!
