Link to the bell housing adapter?
I'd get in touch with Todd Cook at TCE in az. Successful sprint car hill climber.

Here you go....

Thread about the adaptor project-

I had a nasty crash on the dirt bike a month ago and destroyed my collar bone. I had surgery three weeks ago and had it all screwed and glued together. My plan was to run the entire Enduro series here and try to get enough points to advance to A class but I'm not even sure I'll be able to ride like that for awhile. The first ice race of the season is on the 19th of January and it's not looking good. First enduro is a winter event on the first Sunday in Feb. I rode around the front yard yesterday and it felt good to be back on the bike but thats a far cry from a days worth of nasty tight singletrack in the snow. I'll need to race something this year, I don't care what it is...turtles, trains, school buses...

Cool but maybe a bit pricey for a bellhousing for my tastes. However the Jaguar V12 adapter on the other hand...

Not sure if you've followed his progress or not. The Chicken is really well sorted these days, it's got a new powerplant and runs well. He broke two hill climb records this past summer and was named NEHA's king of the hill for 2013. Impressive considering all the bad luck He's had in all the previous years. Paul is talented and his time at Libra has only improved upon his skills. I'm really looking forward to seeing him do well this year at Mt Washington.

This sounds like some class A fooling around, I am all in favor of it.

Have you seen the video that shows a sprint/champ car being crash tested roof first?

Very eye opening and while guys do like to race them...seems like a terrible idea when you're racing in an environment where sharp jagged rocks are the first thing you're likely to hit if you leave the road.

If they tested a rally car in the same fashion, the video might be meaningfull. Are you certain that a rally car chassis would fare any better? Are you doing Sandblast?

No It's scary in and of itself.
And yeah I am certain that even "just OK" rally shells are better...
With the proviso that they are a good fit and attached all over the place even if its just a .0625 thick tab.

The strength of the cage is one thing, the strength of the shell---which a pray people have bothered with some stitching---is another---the sum of the two things is greater than the 2 separate...

I'm dying of terminal snot disease so don't want to sit up, but it has to do with strength as function of diameter..radius squared to the 4th power and all that shit.
