one side is 14mm by whatever (course thread) and that is from the OLD hiem which we DONT want.

The inner tie rod for the Rx-7 is M12x1.25. No M14 anything. Forget you ever met Mr. 14.

2.75" length
5/8" 18 female on one side
M12x1.25 female on the other

OKie dokie that makes it a lot easier...That i have.
That tap i have here was 14 x 1.5 and down at the shop I have 14 x 1...
We'll just stick with 14 x 1.5 for manly wheel studs.

having no rear dampers = sinking like the titanic.

however, im mostly trying to show where the LCA mount to the subframe and if that is "too low" for ground clearance. Not that I can do much about it anyway...

Rally-America rules state that the longest an organizer can have competitors go between refueling is 90 miles. but there's no rule on how much of that can be stage vs transit .

so in theory they could have you do 90 miles of stage before a refuel.

12 gallons * 5 mpg = 60 miles ... hope you like pushing.... in all honesty the longest i can remember going before a refuel was the epic last year of jens Rally idaho . where we had a crazy long transit after a remote fuel , then a downhill stage that ended pretty much right at service.

I don't even think that was 60 miles. I know one of the desert storms had us going pretty far with out a refuel chance. 6 stages , 2 long transits and a few tiny ones + a turn around. might have been around 70 miles total ..

if you had a 15 gallon tank the chances of running out before a refuel go to basically zero.

im looking at the 15 to 16 gal mark if i cant get the stock tank to go back in nicely.

John, i was discussing that i can physically move them higher, but i shall skid the crap out of it.

does the normal ride height put the LCAs level (like the left side), or pointing up (like the right)?

left side doesn't look substantially lower than the LCA mounts on a civic, don't think I've heard any (impact related) issues with those. Granted on the Civic, the tank is right in front of them, on my car the skid plate covers the gas tank and the LCA mounts.

You sir are very good at building rally cars. How does that toyota axle fit in the rx7 width wise? Also how did it compare in the weight department?
