1967 Cortina GT Build

would love to git some info on the best course of action for a 2010 2.3 duratec out of ranger to bolt up to a 1998 t-5 maybe even hydrolic clutch slave
I have a 1967GT Cortina project,want to make it a tarrrmac monster
thinking to have vanland bilstein coil overs front and rear
mini subframe and roll cage,update to rack and pinion?

Ultimate goal of project is tarmac rally car that in top gear at 9k rpm=150 mph
that can mosh turns! not to forget it is the first car I ever bought some 30years ago and managed to hold on to all this time

Garth Ankeny in Portland is building just that car, he is using a T9 with an adapter he got from england.

Well if that is a required thing, that you have to have 9000 rpm = 150... then you tell us the tire dia. and the gears.

hopefully this weekend I will have a better idea on tire dia. as far as rear end gearing and tranny
t-5 has many options as you know so tweaking will be no problem except cost, not so sure about rear yet. I discussed with john v. the possibility of standerd axel type with longer arms, but a friend keep pushing me towards early90"s t-bird independent rear clip haven't made up my mind yet but leaning johns direction for simplicity

Which means bellhousing is ordinary Ford 4 cylinder...

But I'd go Duratec even with the expense of a bellhousing.
It is more cost effective since the engine is so much better in the first place...

talked to garth he gave me some info to chew on, he told me the biggest tire for front would be 205/60 r13 and with that id have to bend up the metal on fender to get clearance,he seems to be a great reference for mk2 cortinas
