NASA in Open Heavy to get seat time and feel out the car when it's all complete.
But cage is getting logged for SP in Rally America. I am keeping all of the essential parts to go SP in RA. I am taking baby steps first! Rob Devil Bat Racing Grand Rapids Mi Planet Earth https://www.facebook.com/devilbatracing http://www.robsackyta.com/ |

there was a thread on here somewhere on what to use for paint. I chose omni single stage white in the same color as every chevy truck. (makes it really easy to patch with a rattle can every time I add a mount for a handbrake, or co driver footrest or spill brake fluid all over the passenger floor and let it sit for 2 weeks. Also makes it easy to see what your are working on.

Yeah been to that thread too much. I am using a primer epoxy then I am going to use a 2K epoxy over that. A lot of raw metal so the primer exopy is a must.

Yeah I got into the engine bay and the front wheel wells. It litterally took like an hour and a half to remove the underbody liner in wheel well with a knotted wire wheel. Hope to be in the interior some time this week...
Also I am reinforcing all subframing and linkage that is steel. Just cuz. Rob Devil Bat Racing Grand Rapids Mi Planet Earth https://www.facebook.com/devilbatracing http://www.robsackyta.com/ |

The oscillating scraper tools work wonders on the tar deadening in the car. I snagged a Harbor freight one for 15$ just to try it out, works awesome for deadening removal, as well as sheetrocking, hardwood floor repair, cutting anything wood or plastic like door cards to fit around a cage. Buy cheap HF scraping attachments, but good quality cutting blades and you will be happy. I use the piss out of the thing.
