Dammit John take it off the market and go do Olympus. I need you there to remind me not to drive into tree stumps.

Well it might be easier to sell if you could prove it was actually rally ready and not a myth...smiling bouncing smiley

My pattern seems to be..... Out of rally for as long as it takes me to have the dough (to burn!) to go abuse my junk.... and back into (forced) retirement.

I just need that winning Lottery ticket! cool smiley

I dunno...you seem quite able to bend it when it's not for sale. Maybe it would be safer with a for sale sign in it.

I've codriven in not-a-small-amount of vehicles so far.

When John proposed I sit with him for a few events the discussion went something like this:
"Derek [Bottles] said you don't get scared in the car."
"I don't."
"We'll see about that."

At Olympus Rally that year [out in Pomeroy], John went into this AMAZING stops-all-time-because-it's-the-most-glorious-thing-ever flick "50 R3 Up Keep In 50 L3" combo that, once initiated i started giggling. litterally.. like a small child. it was just awe inspiring.

Later, as we're doing 130mph on those stupid long straights down there with the sun standing on the horizon, as John is keeping both hands on the wheel like a good driver that I dont have to smack for misbehaving, he says "Hey Jason, can you just make me a visor out of something?" So I just hold my hand over his face. and he says "tilt.. tilt.. tilt.." until the angle is correct. I look over and I'm practically covering his *very concerned about the speed we're travelling* face. He says "let me know if you see a gate that we need to not hit."

John never asked about me being afraid again.

We finished 1st overall in the regional that year.
Ken block came up and asked john wtf.
Ken block then decided that he JUST HAD to have a rwd car.
John did that. This near 40-year old volvo... did that.

The asking price is worth it for the parts alone.

the 2 biggest technical experts in the entire world on all thing in all motorsport, Mike Hurst and Gene McCollough have both taken a lot of time to set the record straight and that is Volvos aren't fun...

Mc Collough in a stock BMW 318 and Hurst in a stock Mustang can beat anybody in the world.

Yank the V6 and shove in a 200hp 5.0. then you can maybe beat them.

Don't disgrace my promotion of John's car with your politics, no matter how cheeky you think you're being.

How crazy John can drive the car is well known. Just who do you think you are to tell anybody to shut up? The sarcastic treatment of what they say about Volvos is clear enough that anybody can see and who doesn't have some big chip on their shoulder....it is a grudging endorsement of how well the car goes and how well John drives it...
