Shit man, $5k a year ago. Today I am saying more like $7-8k.

Are you talking to yourself again?

Nah. I sent some feelers out to a few people that might be interested. Mitch took my table so... smiling smiley

$50 table goes missing, sell car...Ha! But yeah, get that done and then get some rally suspenders for the chumpcar!

Figure this is as good of place as any to post a few pics of current state of disrepair.

Putting this engine together to drop into the car and see if I can make it drive-able for now. Then in the future as funds allow I can do some real work on the other two blocks and use the Volvo 16V head to make a nice little screamer.
The last two pictures are my projects right now. The Merkur is under the car cover, the red 325i is being built for my brother in law, the silver is my new Compact I picked up. Not sure if you can see the Chump car 325i parked back to the side of the silver car. As of now we have five rally and two road race E36 cars built/being built out of our shop. Wait, this is a Merkur thread....

Damn. Merkur block and Turbocoupe block apparently have different engine mounts on block side so Chuck W motor mounts not going to work with this engine. Hmmm. Nothing can ever be TOO easy with these cars...

Well, if he has Chuck W's Turbo Chicken motor mounts, yeah, the subframe in the Chicken is different than in the XRatti. But I'm 98% sure all the 2.3 blocks from a Pinto to a Ranger have the mount holes in the same place...

Well that's even worse...
That means someone probably put a turbo head on a different block.
I'll take pictures tonight.
Basically both sides of the block have 3 mounting holes on the same plane.

Man I'm special needs sometimes... Looking at wrong three holes.
New head gasket on, just need to order valve cover gasket and scrape old intake gasket off.

Allvrace cars are always for sale, its price that fluctuates. Not parting out though.
