The Rally Photos Thread How about a thread for sharing rally photos? .... now that I've fixed the bloody annoying image attach feature. Gravel or paved, it's all good. I'll even stretch the rules to allow some road racing car photos if the same car was used in rally. So, this is one of the oldest continuously running motorsport events in the world, the first event was run in 1921. This year we had a field of 103 cars coming from most states in Australia. The field included a number of ex Australian Rally Champions and numerous state champions so it was a quality field. The cars are restricted to 2wd, non turbo and must be pre year 2000.

Total distance for the event was 780kms with a total competitive distance of 436kms. Unfortunately we had to cancel a 28km stage prior to the start so we ended up with just over 400kms competitive.

73 cars finished the event with the time gap from first to second place being just 29 seconds. Pretty impressive over that distance.

Fourth one is the first pre 1968 car of Tod Reed/Brian Reed in a Ford Falcon GT (This is one of the three cars which Ford Australia used in the London Sydney Marathon of 1968)
Fifth one is a really nice MkI Escort RS1600 crewed by Kim Harper/Chris Ellis
And the sixth one is an equally nice Nissan 240RS crewed by Nicola Testa/Nigel Walters

This is the biggest rally for classic cars in Australia.
