Location, location, location.

$55 each is $5 each more expensive than the last set of 240SX 15" wheels that I saw for sale locally. Getting hard to find 15" wheels in 4x4.5 since Nissan went to 16"+ for damn near everything, and everyone else is five lugs.

I just might become a NASA member... been meaning to anyway, to take advantage of their HPDE program.

My point exactly.
The Chinese will make anything you ask of them in my own experience, but if flash/bling is what's wanted, and it is mainly flash/bling that 99.7% of people buying wheels want---that's what they'll build...

My own conversations when I've been down there with guys running Chinese Rally Championship makes me VERY WARY since they said "John don't think about "what if' with any domestic wheel manufacturer. The wheels are weak and break on bad potholes, no good for rally. The just don't seem to have the right alloy or heat treat (compared to Sparco OZ or Compomotive TH). Even enkei are "just OK"...

of course the bulk o them are slower than the bulk of "us' but the top anyway goes pretty good, lots of imported Finns and such at the top, so they know what breaks...

Two ways:
Gravity Casting
This is the casting process whereby the molten material is poured into a mold and allowed to cool. These molds are usually made by machining a piece of material on CNC machine equipments to produce a wheel that only requires minor finishing (like drilling or possibly trimming of some excess metal) to be considered complete.

Negative Pressure Casting
The other system used is the low pressure or negative pressure casting. Here instead of pouring the molten material into the mould, the molten alloy is drawn up into the mould using a high-pressure vacuum.

The MAT process wheels claim to be the strongest cast wheels Konig sells.


I'm not saying they're bad wheels but I've seen a set of Konig wheels cracked through the rim from street driving.
