Hello,
I am finishing up a 1969 BMW 2002 to run in the Targa Newfoundland event in 2009. I had the car out for the first "shakedown" run a few days ago and even though it wasn't that hot here in the Pacific NW - the inside of the car was far too hot and stuffy... I will be taking my "new" rally car to the No Alibi event in E. Washington in a few weeks and would like to have some ventilation. I have seen roof vent kits and understand that there was a kit sold here by Sagsert some time ago although his website is down and I havn't seen any photos nor can I tell if it's still available. I have seen the Primitive vent as well - that looks like an option. Can you guys offer some advice as to what might work best. I am concerned about the exterior look as I don't want to dramatically alter the "period look" of this car... I have raced a different '69 BMW 2002 in vintage racing (Sovren) for several years and am excited to try rally. Jack H Langley, WA 1969 BMW 2002 |

Thanks, Eddie,
....OK - I did go to the Mill Supply catalog but there is no "search" feature and the categories are by car maker... If you have any other tips, I would appreciate it. If you're not sure, I'll give them a call. Thanks again, Jack H Langley, WA 1969 BMW 2002 |

Hey !
Cool your jets boys. I never had a web site advertising the vents. It started as a cool idea I used in one of my cars, then there was a demand and I made more, then the demand went away and I stopped making. I think I still have some of the components in the garage in a box, if there is a serious demand I can squeeze out about 5 kits. so let me see some hands who wants one ? I sold over a hundred of these kits so you have probably seen one around. Cheers M.Samli Phoenix AZ Gaylant VR4 EVO III GSR (Stolen) Rallies are no place for traitors |

Hey Jon, you can say what you want about me, but since the first event i ever did in cars in 1984, this sort of thing is what I've been doing for every guy I meet in this sport (regardless of what they're driving). Since we can't do anything at all about all the fixed expenses around a rally, we have to do something about the areas we can and saving money on foo foo incidentals is one way we can save dough to apply toward the things we have no choice or say over like ENTRY FEES, and unproven "safety" equipment, and distances!!!! No point in spending more than you have to. > > > Jon Burke - KI6LSW > RallyX Team Up TwoMountains > Team Blog: > John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember!
