I am pretty fucking embarassed by this whole thing.
It is absolutely fucking pathetic that Wasserman Media Group, the company that manages Travis and Rally-America, couldn't find someone that could figure out the difference, or at least take 10 seconds to fact check themselves. It is more embarassing to see the shit fest that this little revelation has caused (not saying don't make it public but this is a little much). It just makes rally in the US look even more like a second rate hack job series. I just can't wait until the rest of the BS over flows the bucket and hits the general public. |

Hey Richard,
This is so cool! We can now both list our events as 'World Rally Championships' events! As long as it's not 'the World Rally Championship'..... Just shakin' my head....and wishing I was in marketing....licensed to kill, chill, thrill, spill (liquor most likely), etc...... Regards, Mark B. |

Whats funny is that the impression i get from both Ken and Travis is that they are well aware of how far we (them included) are when it comes to Rally compared to the rest of the world. Yet there is always that young guy that thinks Travis is the best driver in the world. I guess that false marketing scheme works!
rally gods would turn in their graves if they ever knew Lada's were now part of EU rallying!!! |

this stuff cracks me up now.
1) because I've learned to get John's jokes/style of writing. I can see how someone can take it 'the wrong way' because things like sarcasm and 'ball busting' don't always come out well over the inter-web, but once you figure John out, he's pretty funny. ^Tim...that ones for you. You'll learn too. 2) Its a pretty funny, albeit purposeful, 'oversight'....obviously aimed at lesser informed folks. (ie his main non-rally fans) What can you do? its not like he's some company and this is a product press release. oh well....grain of salt. 3) Doesn't affect me in the slightest. end of the day, I really don't care. won't stop me from hitting the stages next year, and if i ever run an RA event, maybe i'll get to be in the same line up as one of these big boys. ![]() Jon Burke - KI6LSW Blog: http://psgrallywrx.blogspot.com/ |

Funny as can be.
Typo? Ahhhh.... No. Just the same..... TP is our there racing on someone else's dollars. Good for TP. Were I the name being managed I'd make some effort at keeping on top of the ish my handlers were putting out there about me. That said, I know what it is like to be busy. Certainly there is no missing that his crack management team shot and missed. Tim..... DO take a deep breath. Really. JohnLane Overkill is consistently more fun |

Oh, so Wasserman Media Group puts this BS-Hype together for TP. And Wasserman does the RA dribble as well. That explains a LOT. Interesting.
Tim, I reread all the posts, I don't see who else is whining. We are just having a leetle fun. Nothing against TP or the rest. In the past BCE would have explained that TP doesn't look at the interweb, or read or he's too busy jumping out of perfectly good aeroplanes without a shoot or something, so how could he possibly know anything about the content of a website aimed at 8-12 year old boys. I just saw that Ken Block ran a few stages in a NA impreza at OT. I wonder how his times were in this car? I know that Randy Zimmer, Patrick Richard, and a few others can turn some good times in this setup.
