Rally Colorado XR$TI Rally Debut, Just two days away
September 11, 2008 11:47AM
Live updates from every transit I get cell coverage will be instantly posted to our website.
www.nocoastmotorsports.net

Transmission is back together and back in the car. All suspension parts have been checked and tightened. All systems check done. New breather system is on. All that's left now is mounting the first aid kit, filling the gearbox, and putting on the skidplate. We're stuck running with no terratrip and no speedometer, so it's a good thing I know this rally and all of it's transits well. I may try to get the Terratrip in tomorrow sometime.

At least I'll have a committed crew member and we won't be in Missouri so the liquor stores won't be closed by the time we get back to the hotel to work on the car. That may have been the worst thing about working until 5 am in 30 degree weather that year. No beer. Thankfully Dennis Martin lent us his lights.

I wonder if my crew guy will get drunk and make fun of KB while he's standing right there like our crew guy did when you and I drove together in 2006. Well, I rode. Nice leisurely ride.

It's apparently raining and muddy on the stages. This will be interesting I think.

Grant's intelligent ass drilled into his fuel tank and spewed a bunch of fuel out. Ended up missing the Parc Expose which is either a 10 minute penalty or a 120 minute penalty. We've got it fixed and are drinking beer at the Checkpoint Racing house. they blew an engine at the media stage and pulled the engine out of one of the Suba Performance service guys cars to put into the rally car.

Mitch did. Two STI engines blown. He's going to crew tomorrow while his crew guys try to rebuild an engine during the day and try to get a running car for him on Sunday.
