Re: Yokohama ADVAN entire tire catalog

Up in Canada, I've seen teams with some super-agressive Silverstone mud tires.
Those Advan (Yokohama?) mud tires look pretty good, too. A few years ago, people were saying that those Kumho gravel tires, that Tire Rack, had weren't much good for gravel, but people saved them for sand and mud.

Yeah, Kumho R700s. Those still show up for sale used.

I can attest that the R700's were great mud tires. We set good times at "Wild West" a few years ago when it was a mud-bog event at the ORV park.

I've got a slightly used set (good depth, some rounding) that's got to be at least 7 years old. No special storage or anything, and they're definitely not looking "fresh," but -

Would they still be useful?

How well do rally tires age? This may well be a uselessly broad question, but I'm a newb with a lot of newly acquired but pretty old tires...

Naw. Nope they're no good. 7 years old sheeeaat. Trash. Turned to dust.
Throw em in the dumpster.

Just tell me which one so I can go fish em out. winking smiley

I'm sure they'll be fine for tearing shit up and when you get real serious get a fresh set of tires. Until then save the money and put it toward the cage. They're probably fine.
