but isn't that the point? 'oooooh......cool video!' <end thought...move on to next thought>

That's it....yup, he's got money to burn....good for him. Jealous some? Yep...I am, fer sher!

All I know is, whenever I've posted a video of either me driving in a rallyX, goofing around and smacking a tree, or co-driving....maybe it get a few responses (if I'm lucky)...this guy's got over a million hits and I"ve seen PAGES of people arguing about this vs that, driving skill vs 'anyone can do that given the same resources', and even 'THAT'S NOT REAL GYMKANNAH!!' (oh hay-soos.....really?)

I don't particularly like Energy Drinks simply because I think they taste like sugary piss, but that's just me, and I'm not going to hold it against him. I see Jens point, and I really hope (for the sake of all the kids drinking the stuff) that he's wrong about it, but who knows. Would I sell out if Monster offered me a free ride and a six figure salary? prooooooooobably.......??

I also think commercials are really funny sometimes smiling smiley and i think most people see this vid for what it is.....a clip of block fucking around. the fact that's its created SO MUCH INTERNET DISCUSSION is simply validation to Ken's marketability and value to his sponsors.

In a sport like this, any PR is good PR....just like Klassen and that SS.com thread...I'd LOVE to put out a press release and have a bunch of dudes arguing 'Yah-huh!' "Nuh-huh' 'yah-huh!' 'nuh-huh!' than just ignoring it all together.

it is what it is...JVL you make great points about Ken's driving record(and I"m not educated enough to agree/disagree or even know if its apples to apples), but again, its not even a real rally video, so why even take the effort to create an opinion?

I've already spent too much time thinking about it now!!

btw, you want to see some REAL internet arguing? check out this thread.....talk about HATERS!! LOL
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1636203

it gets good really fast...and then keeps going, and going, and going...I want to know who 'greg555' is....?

I'm sorry, but this trumps anything Ken Block ever did. Sylvain Erickson is one crazy mofo...

One year at an icy Tall Pines...

TV reporter in service:

"Sylvain, what tires are you going out on?"

Sylvain:

"You tell me what tire the udder guy using and I use the opposite AND we STILL beat them!"

That's confidence.

He definitely got reverse. You see the reverse lights come on and hear him accelerating in reverse on the rev limiter until he pulls a Rockford.

funny, thats the first thing I thought, "old Jim Rockford would be proud"

My favorite part is hearing the engine bouncing off the rev limiter in reverse.

I think I will watch it a few more times now, in fact.

Too old,
too fat
and a minute in,
I'd forget what I was doing and change stations.
(or fall asleep)
It wouldn't be compelling video.

And there some driving here that trumps THAT!

And to all the real hatorz, look at the REAL DRIVING, first TAKE near the end.
Then tell me you can't understand why the little fact we know Block isn't fast---by any broader measure---makes the choreographed edited made-for-TV nonsense no more interesting than a car commercial.

What pisses me off is that KB's silly ramp jump pops up as a related video to that GiGi Galli clip. WTF? The propagan.., I mean PR machine is working apparently...
