A rallyist who seemed to love it, sent it to me to watch. He titled the link, "God Bless Ken Block". I watched it. I sent it to my young (14 and 16 years old), impressionable nephews to watch. The younger one is addicted to energy drinks and narcotics that he gets from is mother. I already got him one of those hipster Monster Energy Drink caps with the straight brim, like Uncle Ken wears. Gotta keep the kids interested in this stuff any way I can. This takes a lot of drugs and sensory overload.
Not worth the hate, IMHO. If someone asked me to do it, I would. Ted Mendham www.rensport.net |

I did enjoy it, because it's some fancy car control and sliding. But seeing the skid marks present already reminds me of watching movies where cars are drifting around a turn for what should be the first time, but you see on the pavement all the skid marks from previous attempts.
Considering his STI is close to what I would want my STI to be. I want the WRC body kit (too expensive for me) with spoiler (don't have $15,000 for the real wing, nor do I have $2500 for a fiberglass knockoff). Would have done a bit different plumbing on the intercooler and reversed the intake manifold to get less intercooler plumbing but still looks fun as hell. I remember following this car when it was his Gumball 3000 car, then it was his One Lap of America car (had my favorite paint job ever on it) and now it's his gymkhana car. I wouldn't complain if he made more of these videos, he just needs to invite me for a test drive next time ![]() |

Interesting that you turn my pointing out how you are offensive to many into my having (in your clearly colorful imagination) some sort of masturbatory fantasies. Not me John.... Perhaps this is "Projection" on your part? lol. > Again, you read "Meh, I'm not impressed" as some > sort of attack. > Great job there John, real good reading. > You can continue to cluck cluck that it is an > attack, and clain I am an ass, but you making > '"Meh, I ain't impressed" into some production > SHOWS WHERE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM IS. John I did not suggest that you are doing some manner of attack. I suggested that perhaps you and others would do well to take a few deep breaths. Why do you get yourself worked up about what Ken Block does? John run your business so well that you make enough dough to go and play in the woods. Beat Ken royally on the stages. > > 2 boards John, why purposely try and couch it in > language which makes it sound as if its some huge > thing, whymake it out to sound so bad? Fair enough John. Just two of three boards that I read for my car fix. Didn't you get banned on some manner of Ford board too? lol. For the sake of comparison..... On this board even Morten did not earn an outright ban. Point is John that the common denominator is YOUR ONLINE PERSONNA..... Not that some prick prissy moderator has it in for you. John I'm pretty good at getting my point across online and often find that my opinion is not appreciated, but I've yet to earn myself a 'Ban' from any board. Hmmmmmmmm..... I must be too prissy huh? It's called "Rendez-vous" by Claude Lelouche, At the beggining it says (in French) there is no special effect, no fast forward. There where no closed roads, only one guy with a walkie talkie in one critical part that was supposed to call in case of proplem! Lelouche was driving his personal Mercedes for that film. It was done with the remaining film from his previous movie and it was thight, could not do a double take or even just slow down or he would have ran out of tape! I hope I posted the correct version, even though the engine sound is dubbed by the one of a Ferrari, it's still better than the one with music. I don't have my sound working right now so I can't check. Francois |

Dubbed sounds don't count as a "special effect"? Sweet! This opens the possibilities... Pete Remner Cleveland, Ohio 1984 RX-7 (rallycross thing) 1978 Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver. |
