That's pretty much the bike I plan to get this summer. Enough engine to keep entertained, good gearing and box, decent suspension. The Yamaha WR400 is a bit cooler but a few grand more. The Husky new fuel injected one is ridiculously sick, but like 7 or 8K for them.

Don't let Bottles see this, nothing good can come from it smiling smiley

OTOH, he DID send me an ad for a prepped GTR closeratio gearbox that I can't possibly afford, so maybe I better fwd this to him just to get even!

Way off topic now

Come on now Jay you know I am a tight wad and thus am only looking at bikes that are less then $1000. However for some reason my kick ass wife is worried about me going 75 MPH down a road with out a rally car around me. Mind you she has been in the seat of terror so she knows exactly what I am like. Hard to tell her I never go off given she has been there and gotten that t-shirt when I missed her call.

Still how many of them stock boxes do you need to brake till this 3,200 Euro one looks like good deal, try calling them up and offering $2,000 US. I think that = 3 stock boxes.

It might be a good idea to get someone who speaks german because I am not sure I know what this add says:

http://www.rally24.com/rally-parts-for-sale/rally-part-269.html

I think the real question is what good can come of me reading adds for rally cars and parts.

In the long run reality always wins.

I know where there's a sweet RWD rally car that costs less money than 6 front row tickets to a Madonna concert (which are 12K by the way.)

Dual sports would be fun in the mountains and to spend weekends trail riding. Don't think I'd ever do rally moto personally, but I definitely want a dual sport.

I know of a certain Yellow Volvo 740 turbo that is reported to need some TLC.

It has some history; having been driven by Karl in the past.

Seems like a winner for MrDerek.

Gene I'd welcome the opportunity to beat Derek in a similar car. Derek drives pretty good and is committed on the stages.

There would be some good competition out here and people that are willing to push and actually RACE...

Also-

Is there any more info on where Sunday service is? We have some people who may come up Sunday and would like to tell them where to go.

Thanks!

Ok, Gene. But I'm going to have to drink 3 of the 6 PBR's that I bought for you because of this.

Mr. Bottles informs me that he was unable to source a suitable bike for the proper amount of cash in time to try out rallymoto this goround. This would have been his first (1st) time on a motorcycle in the dirt. He's done a bit of fast downhill mountainbiking competition so it's not as scary as it sounds, but all the same, i think he should find a bike, prep it for rallymoto, and go to the ORV park and practice up a bit first.
No.
Hell with that.
We all want him to go find an M3 and REALLY piss it off.

Damn, I hate to hear that....you would have been amazed at the last meeting. The amount of people voicing an opinion about the route books was amazing. Even a first time volunteer was fussing. Concerns from somehow getting an advantage, cheating and the best.."they'll find out where the stages are." After a couple minutes I honestly just gave up, no patience anymore. I can't imagine what it's like in Congress most days.
