THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another very late night and the car is a bit further along. Dave Clark stopped by last night. It was great to see you!

It looks like we will need to replace the rear calipers and lines. The electrics are sketchy. I will work on that tonight. I will also need to drain the nasty fuel out of the tank.

A note to all of you with cars sitting in the drive way. There is nothing worse than letting a car sit! You have to run them every so often. Most of the problems with the SAAB have to do with is not being driven.

David Amor, thank you very much. I will make sure that John's wife and kids get some goodies!

The Can't believe it edition. heymagic may get his wish, I think Adam volunteered for right side duties. The Fundimech once again has saved the day. Nasty fuel drained, replaced with premium go juice, resulting in smoooth idle. The rear brake issues have been resolved with a minimum of foul words, the rest of the foul language was spent on the speedometer cable, right side skinny seat installed, JVL did yeoman's duties and the tires are on the car, hood removed and modified, put back on and modified several more times, some wires zipped tied up, some wiring issues still need attention, all in all, the car is pretty darn close to being.

A really big THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has sent in donations!!!!!! It is still not too late to get in on the warm fuzzies, more donations will help. In all seriousness, you folks are truely generous. Proof that the Rally Community takes care of it's own. Vive le Prole-le-Ralliat!!

As for live updates......maybe the Organizers have something hooked up, if not I'll TRY and post in the evening. Lots of snow predicted for the weekend, so there is bound to be some fun to be had.

Hey John

Sent a few bucks, have fun, the child in me wants to post companion threads over at SS, I think it would be appropriate in the Histrionic and USA sections...

Cheers, Ted

Got to bed around 1am AGAIN! The car is on it's wheels, it runs and it stops. It looks like Adam will be in the right seat so that is great. Thanks Adam!

John and I will road test the car after work today. We should be rally ready tonight. With any luck I should get a decent nights sleep!

Thank you for all your donations!

Robert.

Good idea Ted, childish ideas should never be ignored.

I put one up in Historic and PNW forums. If someone could add a pic to the threads would be nice.

Unbelievable edition. After too many late nights the Historic SAAb 96 breathes fire again!! A huge THANK YOU to all the folks who donated!! especially the urabus folks. When I last talked to Robert and John they were getting tabs for the car. As with most things, this started out as some hair brained scheme, and has demonstrated the true lack of sanity of all who participated. Gold stars for your forheads and a pinch on the cheek. Go call your Mom and Thank her for raising a decent human being.

Quick up date.........We road tested the car last night and it ran ok. John is going to try to get an alignment this morning before we go. We had one electrical hick up last night but we got that taken care of by 10pm. Wish us luck!

Robert.
