Front lines? rear lines? Right now, my front lines are just kinda hangin out there in the breeze. They go through the sheetmetal about a foot above the bottom edge of the inner fender. Rear line (single) goes through the floor right where the limiting valves used to be. > And I was > wondering when Kevin may be able to control his > primal urges long enough to get some pants on and > fab up some brackets? HER: We're here today to celebrate the resurrection of Jaysus Christ! ME: Ha ha, you said erection! HER: Yes I did! (Smoooch smooch smooch) Although, I do have the original pair of caliper brackets that I made, that no longer fit on my Double-Secret-Extra-Soooooper-Bitchin JVAB 50mm front struts, but still work just fine with standard Soooper-Bitchin 40mm JVAB front struts. Those are sitting in the top of my toolbox. Monika Hawkinson Seattle, WA |

Glad to hear your little ones got to go for an egg hunt. Did they find one?!
I was talking of the front lines. any plans for the future? certainly don't want to do anything that would screw up being able to swap out the strut tubes but would like to see them attached or hidden a bit better than they are now. was thinking possibly of passing the brake line through a threaded tube and then welding a small c shaped tab on the strut body. Two nuts on the threaded tube would clamp the line to the bracket while still allowing movement. Then maybe zip tie rubber vacuum hose around the lines. Overkill? What would one have to do to procure said brackets? I do have my limits, morally anyway. Thanks for the wisdom Zap zap my ass... |

[yesterday]
Bent up the other floor pan, started on a 4 link cover. Stared at my fuel cell mount and decided I needed a rally tire. Oh, and I double checked my seat mount plan. All systems go. I cant wait for this fabrication stuff to be done with lol Welcome to the cult of JVL drink the koolaid or be banned. |

I don't have any real specific plans. Just something involving zip-ties and/or duct tape. > What would one have to do to procure said > brackets? I do have my limits, morally anyway. Procurement would involve you staying well within your moral limits. Unless you find $20 to be a burden on you soul. > Thanks for the wisdom Lol wat? Monika Hawkinson Seattle, WA |

Waaaay better than the fancy fireproof expensive nomex shit that failed within 5 miles of testing. |

Mounted up 4 tires for the Mini to start mocking up suspension stuff with. Wee little things, compared with stock size 15" snows from the galant.
Is Brent from Bilstein here on the list? Anyone have his contact info at hand? Thanks, Ted Pure mathematics is the enemy of every truly creative man -- Sir Alec Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/16/2009 05:28PM by Ted Andkilde. |

I'm a little worried about the lack or sidewall protection but, when you're building an "orphan" you take what you can get. Besides, if I ever get far enough off my arse to finish the car and start destroying tires I can always work on the solution when the need arises
![]() I was a little bummed (both literally and figuratively) to find out that CARS has gone FIA for seats as of Jan 1 2010. I'm really pleased with this seat I picked up a few weeks ago in Hamilton from Stuart (David Amor's co-driver) but I don't think it's got a sticker. I'm going to have to make it my life's work to get the French to eat more deep fried foods to achieve my goal of inexpensive sourcing for "fat-guy" safety equipment... Welded my fuel cell cage in today. I also have the passenger floor screwed into place so I just need to weld it in tomorrow. And I started making the trunk bits to finish up the area around the cell cage. 4 link Boxes and seat mounts, and it should be good for paint.

We didn't know about that rule change or we would have told you. We had a hell of a time finding a seat that would fit Stu safely. Ugh atleast you have this year.
