this weekend we were able to pull the trans from the car to take care of our VSS issue.
pulled all the susp, cleaned, adjusted and reinstalled for tarmac, RTN. dyno'd and tuned it. 183whp/207wtq on 93! reinstalled the center console and HVAC bits. i think thats it for this weekend. Next weekend we crack open the trans to find out what happened and inspect everything else. _billy the woods are lovely, dark and deep. and still hours to go before i sleep. www.brokenmotorsports.com |

No worries David
I find it mildly amusing that the rule change is probably the direct result of my future co-driver's actions on the rules committee ![]() I've already told him I own a label-maker and know how to use it... I should have read the new book, the old rules were whacko and needed to be changed, CARS was the last sanctioning body still allowing stock seats. It'll go nicely in the track/rallycross VTEC Mini Moke. Cheers, Ted Pure mathematics is the enemy of every truly creative man -- Sir Alec |

OK, how about "in the vicinity" of the rules committee
![]() I may never get the car finished before we're both cruising around the retirement community on walkers at the rate I'm going -- so the co-driving may be moot for a multitude of reasons <g>. t Pure mathematics is the enemy of every truly creative man -- Sir Alec |

At Olympus, I spoke to Peter Van Bogart about getting the car in for a cage. However, when I got home from Olympus I found out that my employer is being purchased and now I am thinking that maybe I should wait and hold on to my money until after the acquisition goes through and I know whether I still have a (paying) job. Pulled the radiator. For a 34-year-old British part, it looks pretty good. Gotta find a new, local radiator shop since the one that I normally use has gone under. Still too busy with work to climb under the car to finish pulling the gearbox so I can free up the clutch. |

Last night @ Salta: Got ej205 heads back after being decked 40/1000ths. Lapped valves, installed new valve stem seals. Converting to shimless buckets tomorrow night. Once the heads are done, it'll be time to assemble the bottom end:ej257 block bored to 100mm, 8.2:1 cp pistons, eagle rods, cosworth main and rod bearings, cosworth high flow oil pump, cosworth .7mm headgaskets, arp head studs...Hoping to be ready for first hillclimb event on may 9/10.

I would like to run 13" wheels on the TR7, but there isn't a lot of choice in 13" rally tires. alan |

Checked the breather. Not nearly as much blow by as I was expecting.
Tonight going to install the new tubular exhaust manifold and pull the air filter to clean it. Might drop the skid plate so I can change the oil before the hill climb next weekend. Grant Hughes |

I did some more work on my rally car last night. (I scanned Craigslist, Kijiji and IPD Classifieds for the ever elusive 'perfect body, destroyed interior' shell.)
