On Wednesday, I was trying to remove the broken exhaust manifold bolts.

On Friday, a spider egg had hatched nearby and there was a web spun between the left strut tower and the fender on both sides of the tower. Dozens of baby spiders were hanging out.

On Sunday, they had all moved out and the web was gone. So, I resumed trying to remove the exhaust manifold bolts.

On Saturday, pulled the rally car out of the garage and onto the gravel next to the house and leveled it F/R and Side to side to prepare for rear independent suspension install. Removed rear suspension and mounts.

Finished making the stationary "steering rack" to allow the stock tie rod ends to be used to lock the rear steering so it goes straight.

Removed the headliner, a-pillar covers, b-pillar covers and the panel behind the seats. Made space in the garage to store the interior bits that will be going back in the car after the cage goes in.

Removed the remainder of the interior behind the seats. Removed the rear window. Removed the taillights and rear side marker lights. Pulled the rear harness into the cockpit. Removed a bunch of rust.

You can see on the closer one where I put little feet on the bottoms, and spray painted w/rubberized undercoating.

Removed a bunch of sound deadening material. It came up pretty easily with a putty knife. Removed a bunch of old adhesive with 3M adhesive cleaner. Took pictures of the car and posted them on Facebook.

Do yours wobble at all?

Also how is the undercoating holding up? Which stuff did you use? I bought some duplicolor stuff that I was going to use, but I test sprayed on a piece of scrap and it didn't seem to be very durable.

wobbles if you push and put some weight into it....it is 3000lbs suspended 2 feet in the air winking smiley

the duplicor is what I used as well...what I found is, even though it says '10 minutes', you really need a few days for it to cure and harden up. I'm sure there's better stuff out there, but I'm cheap and lazy and this stuff is easily found at Kragen.

Re: So what did you do to your car today?

Continued removing sound deadening material. There are seven sections of it and the first one came up really easy with just a putty knife, so I was pretty happy. Until I got to the second section. Got most of it off today, but not all of it. I guess I will be doing the dry ice trick.

In preparation for this, I pulled the seats and carpet under them. The brown carpet that was once black went straight into the trash. The seats are hardly faded at all and in really nice condition, so I hope that I can sell them. I also continued to pull the wiring harness forward. There is now no wiring in the car rear of the instrument panel.

I think that the car is gonna pretty close to minimum weight without doing a lot of work.
