Morten, What you see and think is open ceiling is the attic I built.. there is already tire, engine block, body panel, etc etc storage up there. I didn't put the air compressor up there because I was worried about transfering vibrations into the house (there is a room directly above) and the shelves are full at the moment. Trust me, I hear you ![]() The space underneith was pretty dead anyways. I'm happy with my 'lil pit.. got some more storage and the extra height added with the platform makes accessing existing shelves a lot easier and the work bench is at the perfect height. I'm working on making a general welding jig at the moment.. basically a 32" square piece of 3/8" plate (bloody heavy!) that I'll make 2 inches higher than the rest of the table.. that way I can clamp shit down nice and tight like and not have to worry about it being straight or burning down the house ![]() Cheers, Andrew M Onterrible 30ish |

I end up tripping all over myself. It generally just didn't work. Extremely frustrating and not productive. Besides I don't have the latest shell that actually fits in the garage in my posession yet.. Andrew M Onterrible 30ish |

The 3/8" plate sitting on top of a Workmate (the Black & Decker kind) works pretty well with proper clamping and is easy to stash when you don't need it, especially if you're pressed for space. JT |
