Maybe my eyeballs are a bit off, but that motor looks like it was photoshopped into the engine bay.

I think the glare off the core support is messin with ya. The fuel filter on the strut tower looks legit, cheesy maybe but legit.

Now that would be a cool rally car or street car.

What's wrong with that? That's almost exactly
where I mounted mine for two reasons:

1. Away from the left header.

2. Much easier to replace than under the car.
It's bad enough I have to crawl under the car to
change the oil and oil filter. I prefer not having to
jack up the car to change the fuel filter too.

The major difference with my placement is a shield around it
so if a fitting leaks it can't spray fuel directly at the engine or header.

Nothing really wrong with it, but the fuel lines run up over the master cylinder, unsupported, and then fuel line runs right over the top of the strut bolt. Then straight over to the engine, so any torque motion will be directly pulling on the fuel line. Most longitudinal engine have the fuel line coming in over the back of the motor to minimize torque forces on the line. They get a very small twisting motion instead. Easy, yes but cheesy looking, my take on it.

Oh that. Yeah I agree with you.

I thought you were commenting about the fuel filter being up there, rather
than down below.

My filter placement and line routing is entirely different than that one. The common feature is that the filter on my car is behind the top of the left strut tower, rather than under the car.

Talking about fuel filter placement.........I was looking at my neighbor's 350 chev motor. I noticed a pin hole leak in the fuel line shooting right into the alternator!!!!!!!! Amazingly not a flame thrower!

Just today I wear the tee-shirt from that fateful day in 1999 when I had you giggling as a schoolgurl while we did the big pirouette in the Volvo at PIR.
