You know I get pretty fuckin fed up with this Inter-net horseshit about any disagreement between two people being called " Hostile and a personal attack"
Again let me refresh your memory that the child was telling me that there's no connection, he was telling me what I intended to convey and he was telling me to shut up.
As such I think I was polite in the extreme.

How the fuck do you discuss things in real life?
Do you actually get or act as offended and call every disagreement or every countering of one opinion "an attack"?

I don't think Timmy's at all concerned.
He certainly has never shown that he cares what any person thinks.

> and he really handled it well. Especially
> surprising since he's a customer of yours.

He bought excellent suspension, but that does not mean that I or anybody else should be told to shut up, NOT HERE FERFUCKSAKE.

>
> Discuss the ideas all you want - I could care
> less,
The phrase, in order to make sense is "I counldn't care less.
Saying "You could care less" means you must care some.
Logic boy, gotta think about what the words actually mean..

but can you actually discuss the points
> being offered without it turning into totally and
> unrelated personal attacks?

As he is not interested in what anybody has to say, I therefore am not interested in reading his opinions on this which I have read enough times from him and read hundreds of identical things from other equally blue eyed people for 2 1/2 decades how "Hype!" or this or that or the other thing "certainly must help!" the poor state of rally in North America.

and wait a second....

Damn dude, didn't I just explain to you a few minutes ago that his telling me to shut up, a punk-ass 20 yo old telling an adult to shut up is a personal attack?
And here you are continuing to call a patient, polite response to that "a unrelated personal attack".
I ain't the one needing to take a breath.
I think you need to re-read his words until you understand how rude he was with his silly contentions.

Nobody has taught this boy to speak to others with any respect.
I have been around him, and at his house and on the phone.
I know how he talks to people, people that help him, his family.
Do not tell me I am being thin skinned.
The boy is rude.
And if he choose to wear the persona of the know-it-all-wise-guy-at-20 that can tell everybody to knock it off, I'll answer him in the way he talks and acts.
Except I will explain enough so a person paying attention can understand.

Do you want me to go cut and paste his rude bits?

There was an guy I read about once who was reported to say "as you would have other do unto to you, so shall ye do unto them"
Something like that.
So when one is argued with, and told to shut up by a disrespectful kid who thinks he's far smarter and far better educated than he if fact is,

should he or anybody be surprised he gets back essentially what he's thrown out?

Sock in the jaw?
wahat?

(Gene, I waz just talking with Robert "Service nazi" last night and we were just talking about phrases or to use the fancy word "idiomatic expressions", and don't know if you know it but he's a fawkin Kraut, and we got all off on a tangent about his regional dialect way the hell over in the boonies where he lived and how much seriously SERIOUSLY different it was way up NorthWest where I knew a cutie and way West where i often passed thru (and knew several cuties) and we got to the point of discussing how while accents are often WAY crazy, the basic phrases were usually the same. And me speaking Swedish first before learning my "Heinz 57 varieties German" I could assure him that the phrases were very often the same accross languages and we yapped about some examples.

Er um tell me if I'm wrong but I thunk saying somebody was "Blue-eyed" meant that they were all inncocent. You know allnew and shiney and well scrubbed and un-marked, undamaaged by the world. maybe innocent to the point of gullibility".

So who socked you in the jaw?

Internal rally politics?
Dish the dirt!

Did you sock them back?

man here we're just talking about useless shit and you are out there brawling!
That's dedication!

Re: While interest in WRC has plummeted and National series is a poor joke...

My ONLY point that I was making:

No you silly child;
Man you are silly, do you understand that;
You want to suck Travis' cock, then do it, I ain't into shit like that;

Seemed uncalled for and personal to me in the discusson. Again - not commenting on the actual topics being discussed.

But hey - I COULDN'T care less either way. I merely commented that Timm was real mature in his responses to you.

By posting my comment - I was in no way endorsing or backing up Timm's side - that was a wrong assumption on your part, so I won't even address your tirade

Back on topic - the old days were the glory days and were a hell of a time, but those days are long gone and there's little to no chance they'll ever come back. It was simply a different time, with a different generation of guys, with different priorities. Biggest change though I think has been the wives. They were WAY more lenient for letting husbands spending that kind of time and $$$$ back in the day.

JVL's backing of the low cost, simple to run 2WD cars is the key in getting this sport back into the "possibility" for a lot of guys that want to get into the sport. The whole Max Attack thing is genious and I'd love for it to become big enough to save the sport.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens to the sport in the next 5 years though.

Now if we could only get WRC on TV again over here...

Rabin.

Re: While interest in WRC has plummeted and National series is a poor joke...

Do realize that I've heard said that "It will be interesting to watch what happens in Rally in the next five years" for as long as I've been involved in rally; which has been twenty years now.

I got into rally just a year after the last WRC round took place in the Capitol Forest.

John VanLandingham was just a little less Grizzled then and was more inclined to swear in a mix of Swedish, Finnish (all of it sounds like swearing), German and Dutch back then. John many of us would prefer it if you would swear in Chinese or Swedish on the forumn. (For those of us who are too uptight, this is a joke)

Many were just certain that rally would just up and take off with the WRC rounds here. John Nagel sure did. He died trying.

Can we really say that things are better today? Hint: Nope.

Too much BS has taken place with Enviro-Nazis and other control freaks wanting to throw any and all humans out of the forest and in fact make us all live in some manner of cave where we will be unable to 'Further foul the environment' so that the poor spotted tree frog will not be bothered with our presence or some such BS.

I'm sure thankful to those who have put in all the hard work which continues to make rally possible in this country. Rally would not exist here in the USA if not for your efforts. There are so many dedicated nice people who love the sport. It takes a LOT of volunteers to put on an event.

That said, I believe that we could have a LOT more FUN and attract a LOT more participants, fans and excitement to the sport were we to be done with the 95% boring parade of four wheel drive turbo cars with soda straws choking the fun. Two wheel drive makes for exciting driving, exciting spectating and is more affordable; making it possible for more of us to get involved.

Despite my best efforts I have sofar been unable to partake of any 'Trickle down' from the 'Big names' in American rally. It is just a LOT more expensive to go and play in the woods then it was in the past. Hint: This is a disincentive for many.

Watch footage of Karl's surgical driving at Doo-Wops and compare with how it looked when Karl drove the 740t years ago. Karl is faster in the Mitsu, but in the Mitsu he is but one of a few who people are eager to watch in four wheel drive. Many of you who have been at spectator areas have seen and heard how the spectators get excited when a well-driven two wheel drive car comes through all crossed up; throwing rocks roars away.

Hey..... Here is one

though not particularly well-driven; we were colorful for the spectators!
Sorry, my limited internet-skills prevent me from finding Video of Karl in the 740 turbo.

Hmmmmmmmm.....
