To make the point that there is a difference of opinion on who created it, as you said clearly: Earth Day was created by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson, not Ira Einhorn." Yet there is a dispute of those involved as to whom created it, best guess it was a collective concept.
As for Stephen Colbert ... Might as well have quoted Jon Stewart ... Ugh. I know wikipedia is not the source for accuracy on many things, however as we see it does bring up discussion, what source would you prefer to use?

Yet we are seeing sign's of cooling trends, as temperature have not been increasing for several years now and appear to be on heading for a cooling trend. "Climate change" is not correct, you yourself agreed it has always changed, "climate change" is the normal for Earth. It is yet to be proven that any change is abnormal let alone man caused, it is merely theory run amuck.
