I don't care if this forum "flourishes" or not. When persons who shall rename un-named start Googling me to dig up what they think is "dirt" and threaten me or my family with supposed legal action then the fun is over and it's time to start busting heads. If I want to shut the site off tomorrow, that's my decision. I don't have any obligations to sponsors, sanctioning bodies or anyone else. This site is a place for friends to shoot the shit and that's all it aspires to.

So if you come into our virtual garage and act like an asshole, you're going to be shown the door.

If you don't like it, piss off and start your own forum.

Have a nice day!

Before joining, I lurked occasionally and rarely found anything that was of any interest to me. (For a variety of reasons)

I personally find the 'anarchy' in the name pretty funny. If you dare to stray from the JVL line you get beaten in to conformity pretty quickly.

Pretending that the forum's purpose is anything other than a JVL sandbox/fanclub hang-out is pretty naive. John is allowed to get away with virtual murder on this forum including things that are expressly listed as ways to get dumped in the sin-bin. Never even a whiff of public 'oafishul' sanction. (No doubt a couple of private suggestions to 'chill.')

Just as with any web forum - everything here needs to be taken with a grain of salt, some of it maybe with a wheelbarrow of salt.

I short, there are probably treasures* hidden in the sandbox that make wading through the noise worthwhile.

(*My cat is always hiding things in his sandbox ... )

Bursting in and threatening to 'blow the whistle' ... seriously uncool.
Casting a net wide enough to catch Morton up at the same time ... mods choice, but fundamentally against the 'anarchy' mindset if you look at his recent behaviour on the whole.

Morison, you insult every memeber here in your efforts to vent your bile against me.
I have read your "musings" and highly opinionated claptrap for years and I have NEVER seen a single thing remotely intresting, but for the revealing confession that when you write your crap stated as flat facts that you PRESUME everybody understands that you are only expressing your not-too-humble opinion.

Odd i never ever thought you intended to express only your opinion specifically cause I never ever saw from day one saw a single qualifier of the sort "It seems.." or "The way I see it..." or such.
That very absence ever of any mitigating prefaces is why I looked and look at you as an risible blowhard.

But now you come and want to bitch about a single instance of moderation after 4 years.

But:
Looking at very nearly every one of your posts here and they are overwhelmingly you bitching about ME.

What do you think you are accomplishing by constantly complaining about me?

Indeed the latest bit here you say I do what
the very things". Wrong and you know that.
I don't lie about Morten or the other Canadian troll, I don't darkly hint that I should call Revenue Canada and suggest they look into the business of Morten Labo,
I have given him good advice and did what he requested and all was fine until he left his bills here unpaid for over 2 months when I need dough and had over 1200 of my own bucks out on parts and machine shop bills.
I don't lie about what the cost of his project was, I state clearly that he came with a blown up motor and asked for me to do the minimum needed to get it running cause he was out of money after the purchase of the car.
He said he would come down and do the install and hook ups when the engine was ready
He changed his mind, and said he was UNABLE to enter the US, so I was supposed to do the install and hook ups/fire up.
That is substantially MORE than building an engine in the stand.
He lies that I charged him $2800 for an engine, when it was new engine plus install, redo of alternator mounts, wiring and then hook ups, fire up.

He lies all over that "I can never get an answer to emails or on the phone" when I have posted the folder with over 140 emails and GAVE UP calling because it was impossible talking with a guy who asks 5 more questions for every one answered.

Aside from the Real Name rule the rule is "No malicious lies with evil intent".
Malicious lies---never intended to be believed like say 'Rallymech is a goose stepping Nazi" are perfectly fine being patently absurd, but Labo's lies, warped memory and threats and signing up a second time were tolerated till he got some help from the "Ekrush" character.

Even while segregated from the general asylum population he was given answers stated clearly even if there was attendant insults---since the fucker fucked me for over 2 months and lied all over I feel completely free to shit all over him as long as he keeps his lies going.
But he got clear answers with dimensions, because in the real world I inhabit, one doesn't have to like every person you do any business with---and I feel some pity for people so lost and so stupid they are incapable of helping themselves, especially if they have something I have worked on.

So again, what are you trying to accomplish yourself here Morison?

To me I think you've been trying to provoke a reaction just so that you can say what a bunch of meanies we are.

But you tell me---in your own opinion.

John, if I wanted shit from you I would have squeezed your head.

All I said was that nothing was of interest to me. I wasn't building an XRatty, or anything actually, and the threaded view was a pain in the ass to navigate so I didn't bother digging for gold.
Lots of good discussions buried in the forum for sure, just nothing that interested me until the discussion of stage/pace notes.

I didn't think you needed to have your hand-held through casual conversations John. If anyone says something without citing a source then clearly it is their opinion they are speaking. Maybe it is just a different way of approaching conversation but I take EVERYTHING as opinion unless qualified otherwise.

> But now you come and want to bitch about a single instance of moderation after 4 years.

Uh ... no. I didn't bitch about anything. I just made a few comments.

Step away from the crack pipe John. At worst I have defended your asinine BS about me or tried to make a point about discussion. I have never posted with the intent of making you look like an ass... you don't need help with that.

> What do you think you are accomplishing by constantly complaining about me?

I'm not constantly complaining about you. The reality is that Skye gives you a wider berth than anyone else by a long shot.

> Indeed the latest bit here you say I do what

BUllshit John. When I first came here you immediately accused me of slander called me untrustworthy, corrupt amongst other things. (none of which you qualified as opinion and ALL of which would be considered libel.)

> So again, what are you trying to accomplish yourself here Morison?

Participate in an intenet community but at the same time not be browbeaten by a loud mouth who loves to hear himself talk. (read himself type perhaps)

> To me I think you've been trying to provoke a reaction just so that you can say what a bunch of meanies we are.

Nothing could be further from the truth. I came in to the Stage Notes discussion because a) I thought it was interesting and 2) I thought I could add to the discussion since I have some good data on pace differences of blind vs. notes adn have competed at a lot of pace note events in recent memory.

THEN you came in taking broad swipes at me (while posting responses to others) and blaming me for having an otherwise civil discussion with someone who I had no Idea who they were. (no insa-introductions on the interweb.) I had the balls to ask someone I didn't know why they had a certain opinion of things and you blew it out of proportion.

Just as with my post in this thread - nothing argumentative there, just commenting on the forum as I see it. You're the one who's always throwing a match in the powder keg.

Yet you still joined and started "contributing". Which makes that statement sound somewhat disengenuous, really.
