It is logbooked!

Wooo Hooo! Thanks to Gene, JVL and the rest of the crew, My Merkur took a HUGE leap towards on stage action. Setting a goal of Doo Wops next year. Should be do-able.

Few things to add to the cage, but very minor in the scheme of things. Nothing that will prevent to car from being used.

I heard one of the Irish guys donated it to Sandblast to use for promotional purposes.
Congratulations Sean! Once you're on stage we'll almost have a Merkur running in each region and be closer to le revolucion!

C'mon people, NASA Rally Sport is raking in MILLIONS in license fees! Now, this first monkey was a little expensive, with all the R&D we had to do. (Over 50 percent of his training was in space! Woot!) But get ready for a whole FLEET of rally monkeys for next year!!!

Yeah, without having to pay Gene the exorbinant fees for tech and scrutineering, NASA will be able to get even more monkeys and before you know it we'll have no human drivers, they'll all be chimps, DVS will release it's own Gymkhana video with their sponsored chimp driver which will generate only 20,000 views because they don't have the servers and programs written to generate millions of views for their boring videos like DC does. Nobody will care that suddenly the USRC is full of old Daewoos because watching the chimps drive them like they do is just so damn entertaining.

here is the cage before the plates were added to the tube gussets, I have no current pics. We plated all the tube gussest to emulate a Taco, and added a gusset to the front of the A pillar support.

Here is the new engine in the bay, it is currently running with a Volvo Radiator and IC, with a custom rotated upper out of 3" tube.
