I love the train of thought.

"Need more ground clearance without sacrificing suspension travel... hmm I can relocate the floor and drivetrain and everything a few inches higher. Yeah, that's it!"

Pete thinking:
"Need more ground clearance without sacrificing suspension travel... hmm I can fit 65cm tires if I roll the fenders and do some sledgehammer work to the inner fenders."

The dude with the raised VW drive line? With that dude, it might just be the build that he wants. He apparently did a RWD conversion.. also on an ugly year Jetta.

I'm thinking more time and talent than money.
