Not to mention it's some of the most amazing stages in the United States.
Travis Pastrana called Gilhouley the best and most fun stage he's ever driven after Oregon Trail. He and Tanner were talking about how they spent most of the time at the next ATC talking to each other about how awesome that stage was and never even asked each other about times. Fir Mountain is pretty awesome too and the spectator areas are well situated.
Wish we could afford to come out and either run it or film at it.

If you make it out, you can stay at my place, I'm only about an hour from Hood River.

I also know already that I'm working Gilhouley, or so I was told in line for food at Wild West.

Knowing more than 3 days before I'm supposed to be there? Yeah. Nispel was in line behind me for food and asked if I was gonna be on his crew so I said sure and he told me we are working Gilhouley. I've worked flying finish, stop, start and atc on that stage before, I even remember how to get there. This time the people with horses better not show up and lie to us about where they are planning on riding.

Does that work! Maybe a horse would be a better video crew transport than cars!

We went to the FTC of Gil, but since we only had one media vest for our four crew team (Thanks RA!), three of us sat on our asses doing nothing at the FTC.

The horse thing was a couple of years ago. Most horse people I know aren't like that. We told them what was going on and showed them that we had permission to close the road. They parked off to the side and showed us where they'd be riding and said it was the other direction and that it'd be no problem. Of course, then we end up getting reports of people on horseback crossing the stage. A sherriff stopped by after the reports and he went and left them a nasty note on their truck/trailer.
