LASSA Rally Tyres! Now from....ME!

One more question. Have you seen the 14" tires mounted on 6" wide wheels? They list wheel size as 5.5" only. The OEM VW/Audi wheels I use are 14x6, so I'm wondering how these would look.

Estimating from Hankook R201 specs:

Looks to be about the same. Just a few mm narrower and a bit taller. I should just stop guessing and buy 6 or so once I start up on the Honda.

Unfortunately I can't really help you there....not too many rally tires are 'designed' for freezing temps. At least these aren't $200/tire, send me your email and I'll send you the directions for grooving/siping and maybe that'll help you make a decision.

The optimum tire pressure on these is 26-27psi

I haven't, but you should be OK. They list 6.5" rims for the 205s, and I'm on a 7" rally rim and they're fine. When I asked last year, the size they list is the 'recommended' width.... 1/2" in either direction will be fine.

anyway....here's updates, straight from Burak to me to you:

This tire is available only in 205/65/15 size, performs better in dry conditions. It was developed and used by Lassa Rally Team all year during their Italian Championship campaign; we successfully got fastest stage times with my SP Subaru @ 2010 International Rally New York with these tires last September. We now have them in stock, retails for $181.

- Secured distributorship / dealership to supply Pirelli rally tires, previously unavailable through any retailer in the US. We are waiting for a large delivery early next week. We will have mostly Ks and KMs, but can get whatever we like from their catalog within 2 weeks.

Also, I don't think an official 'release' has gone out, but if you didn't notice, Lauchlin O'Sullivan and Scott Putnam were racing in the Rally-Tire.com STI at Sn*Drift last weekend.

Lauchlin and Scott will be campaigning in the SP STI all year in search for the 2011 SP Championship. Again, its great to see Burak support local teams/drivers and help US rally as much as he can.
