John is still stuck in the hospital, complications from his knee replacement. Send him some thoughts for a quick recovery.

If it's like my wifes hip replacement she was in for 5 days then transfered to a rehab unit for a week. Was told the knee is tougher for rehab than the hip, thinking good thoughts for him!

So was this damage from DooWops?? You know, pushing the RH brake or gas pedal??

I think he actually hurt his knee kicking my ass all week for having left so much prep undone.

Does anyone here have a laptop-type puter with wireless intersnet access that he/she may be willing to loan the onery old bugger?

This may be a great way to get his blood pressure up + ease boredom.

On the phone with him now. He sounds fine, total knee replacement and then some complications...seems JVL insisted on the new joint being painted Kawasaki green...

Let me see....

How many times did JVL express his wishes that I die? I've lost count.

I hope he survives, but beyond that I'm not too sympathetic.

Now I'm curious about the previous three iterations of the post.

Complications from surgery are never a fun thing to deal with... hopefully his troubles will be over with soon enough. umm ... I mean hopefully he returns to full health quickly.
