Okay, Todd will be there, I've requested the time off work and put the hotel on my amex. I'll have him get registered as a volunteer.

Is everyone staying in Ocean Shores? I booked a room in Aberdeen because it seemed to me the prices were much higher in Ocean Shores. Was that a bad idea?

Well, he's not signed up yet, but I'll remind him to get on it.

Were they booked? I just looked at the rates and decided I'd stick with Aberdeen (2 queen beds, $55 per night plus tax). No way I'm driving home either night, if I did that I probably wouldn't come back :p

We looked at getting a room that was pet friendly and it was around $80 per night. Really not all that far to drive back to the house and since I'll be done friday by 9pm or so and playing hookey on Saturday seemed a better option.

I drive back and forth for OTR and Mt Hood every year unless I camp somewhere. I'd like to claim that I'm cheap, but really it's that I'm poor.

Hey John, plug this into Google...

47.015198,-124.162514

Here is the e-mail from Gene

Gents,
Thank you for volunteering to help at tech this year. The location will be location: CJ Detailing 889 Point Brown Ave, Ocean
Shores. I haven't seen the place yet but I understand we will have 2 or 3 stalls to use. It sounds like drive in and then back out so we'll have to watch the congestion. There is a large parking lot right there so we can stage cars there. The location is a block or so just inside the entry to Ocean Shores on the right. I'd like to have a meeting around 2:45 to go over things. We have several senior scrutineers and some new volunteers so it should work out very well. Bring warm clothing and maybe an umbrella if you have one. I'll provide something to eat and drink. Any questions please give me a call 360-580-1377.
