Rally Tennessee --- Memorial Day Weekend
April 14, 2010 10:18AM
Early entry ends Saturday April17th.

Doug Shephard just showed up on the entry list and Anders has a new road that may give us a 20-mile stage!

Reasons to come:
1) Roads are incredible rollercoasters
2) It is tarmac but HP is not the key to being fast due to the twisty stages
3) It is tarmac but rough enough that your gravel suspension is perfect if you just lower it an inch or so
4) The spectators & locals are awesome
5) HotRods & Cadillacs Bar is the final MTC and is definitely a good party (often NSFW)
6) Lorretta Lynn
7) The Nashville HonkeyTonks are likely on your way home
8) Memphis may also be on your way home
9) Motorcycles! They are even crazier than we are....

10) Teams that have never been to TN before can hook-up with a team that has to work a discount from Anders. (2 TN virgins + experienced team = ~$450 kickback to the experienced team-- you should ask for a cut)....

Wish that we were going this year. It is only a few days before STPR and cant justify the tow and extra money that im going to need for STPR. sad smiley

These are the best tarmac roads that you can run on in the US. Absolutley amazing! Rollercoaster for sure.

the woods are lovely, dark and deep. and still hours to go before i sleep.

Absolutely great event. Fantastic roads, great people, great competition. Tree Farm alone makes it worth the tow. Locals are actually happy to have us and the spectator areas are full.

We will be there for sure.

A bar at the end of a rally? What a novel concept!

The bar isn't AT the end of the rally. The end of the rally is **IN** the bar. The plan is to drive INSIDE to the bar for the final control.

You see, it's Tennessee. Hard to 'splain till you've been there. grinning smiley

Does that mean that no minors will be allowed to compete?
We've run into a problem where events have used a bar for the awards and minor competitors were not allowed in - even just to collect trophies.

This has happened at a couple of events in Canada... so it isn't an isolated issue. You might want to look into that if you haven't already.

This is Tennessee. Minors schminors, come out back and have a sip o' shine.
