We had this same discussion when I did my struts. The stock rear struts on a GTX are 210mm of travel and even with full length inserts it still takes a 4" extension on your tubes to make them long enough.

A bunch less spring rate.
fo' sure 210 travel but 250 in/lb is well over what say Ford used on tarmac in the rear (which was 215)(and the coilover is slightly behind the spindle meaning its working rate isn't seeing any leverage like if'n it wuz in front.

And I know the GTXs are surprisingly heavy little buggers but
+ can't think of a reason with 210mm travel that they should be sprung stiffer by 15% than a big ol Sierra 4x4.
