Now that's funny.

I have silver, black with polished lip, gold with polished lip and white shelby's or minilites for that car...not to mention some goofy yellow soccer balls...

Ok here some Pinto based figures. Pinto has similar shaped chamber and ports and valve sizes so its reasonably close enough to think about using their figures as a starting point in the absence of any other info:
Depending on your cam, initial advance should be:
std.....................12-14 degrees
285 degree cam..........14-15*
295 cam.................15-17*
305 cam.................17-18*
320 cam.................18-20*

total advance 36-38*BTDC and "all in" by 3300-3500rpm.

Try that.
(Corse ya gotta knows what yer cam is, you have some limp wristed girlie cam in there? )

fawk, I so wish that somebody would decide to build a nice 99 motor someday with good valve size, and some comp and a cam made for rally---and some 45 or 48 Webers.
It'd surprise people thats for sure...

I still remember how nice the n.a. 16v that we did for Sam Bryan way back---a nice 215 bhp......

Now, 130 is considered OK sad smiley

As mentioned in the other thread, I suspect the hp of the warmed over golfs is not particularly important. However, if you must know, my golf has been dynoed at a whopping 132hp at Diebold Autosport and 145hp (one run at 142 and one clocked 147) on the rollers at NGP Racing. I have no idea if either of those numbers means anything or if they are WHP or estimated crank hp....

Either way, it is a heck of a lot faster than my 3000lb 115hp (at the crank--when new) 1986 station wagon that I drive on the street.

Omigod. That would be so sick.

That's a damn nice looking Saab car, chief. I don't know what TONR is or where the Mason-Dixon line for wheel color intelligence lies, or even necessarily what we're talking about in this thread anymore, but I was compelled to reply.

The first post was excellent.
The rally car pictured is bad ass.
There's a sound dismissing of emissions compliance.
And just enough information to allow a keyboard rallyist like me to imagine an all motor Saab 99 getting down to business in the woods.

Hindsight is such a bitch.

Warm the things over with a big-ass-snail, and 3" a straight pipe exhaust, run 'em in group 5, no stupid restrictor, then you can make ponies that you might be ok posting about on the interweb, puny NA losers! My stock Sentra made more POWAH!

Like Elin told me, SIZE does matter!

I am going to have Lise report it stolen and have my Samoan Attorney (I mean journalist) torch it in Times Square after the awards banquet (booze fest).
