I realize its a little late now, but if I were you, I'd DO a rallyX the Sunday after NNR....co-market/co-brand.....maybe give discounts to NNR volunteers, maybe run Rally classes first so if anyone in a rally car that spends the night can run right away the next morning, spectators can 'see' rally one day, 'try it out' the next, etc, etc, etc.

just an idea for you winking smiley

I did my first TSD in 1966. I am a from the pre PRO rally era.
In 1986 I partnered with a fellow ralliest and started to build a rally car.WE SHARED THE EXPENSE. Yes, now the price of safety equipment has gone up but the only thing we didn't have was a Hans device. JV keeps telling us that Volvos are cheap. Cheap to buy, build and maintain. YOU DON'T NEED A SUBARU TO WRECK ON YOUR FIRST RALLY. My partner and I built our first car. I was a welder/mechanic andhe is very good at fabricating stuff but not employed as a mechanic at any time in his life. Hell, we were hot rodders. We worked on cars made the faster, sometimes.
When we got the first car finished we flipped a coin for the first drive and have done it that way ever since alternating driving/co driving.
We recently got back that first pro rally car and are going on the HOT ROD POWER TOUR this June.
Find someone interested in building a car split the cost. And remember your NOT Ken Block, you cant wreck a car at every event.

Nice picture....gotta love flat roads without huge trees and drop offs to allow you to hang it way the hell out with minimal pucker factor.

Not the SX/4 AMC you know about but the 401 cu in 73 AMC Gremlin.
Go ahead everyone laugh. It got us started real cheap in 1986.
