Nice thing about buying is that you don't have to pack and unpack all the time. That is worth an afternoon of time before and after each event.

All true, but I'd argue that having a well supplied tow-vehicle will also help you save money on DNFs because you didn't have the right shit to fix your busted up rally car.

I've always had a well supplied tow vehicle when we borrowed vehicles to use. Packing and unpacking has never taken more than an hour, but I'm a pretty decently organized person.

Yes, the Impreza is not stock.
But if it were in an '06 body instead of the '94,
other than the stock Outback rear struts and bump stops, it is.
#1 was a '94 Legacy 2.2 wagon w/189K that went Buffalo to Chattanooga 3X, Minn., a round trip to Rim and OTR, making a total of about 25 events over 2 years with only a puck clutch disk and the strut change.
#2 was a '97 2.5 GT with enough torque that didn't need the disk.
#3 is the '94 with '06 everything else.
The only hitch failure was last year when the hitch ripped at a break.
The car bodies have held up fine.

Is it smart to go flat out through the woods on gravel and mud, over jumps and through creeks with logs piled on both sides and cliffs and huge rocks everywhere?
At least I am consistent.
To compensate, when not towing, I drive a smart.

Ted and I have sent him more Craigslist links than Craig himself can find.

Mike just wants a nice box fan for $2,500, but that's not going to happen...

Take some Limbaugh Skittles, drag a camera outside and post pictures of your 'Burban!

Yeah, it's a pain, but if you're REEEEAAAAALLLLYYY looking to unload this thing, you should have some pictures and an asking price ready to go for anybody.

Then again, if the quacks with Rush Skittles said stay on your tail, then do that, man!!!
