Kinda
I agree that the results format is not what 'I' would like to see.
I don't agree that it is a big problem, a sign of stupidity, or even something that Rally America needs to 'fix.
I certainly don't think that the results format, or anything RA is doing, is the cause of the decline of rallying in the US.

(I certainly don't think that it is something to get THAT worked up about)

Yes the format of the scores is a bit different but still easy enough to decipher. I thought everyone was wound up over the time lags or lack of stories. My mistake.

I don't actually care for some of the other systems with 3 or 4 choices of viewing myself.

To the resident Nellies: I ain't THAT upset---awwwwwww boo hoooooo you guys are wrong in your ass-umptions....

They choose to show as PRIMARY display the accumulative times because of some---I do recall reading some hogwash drivel----but since it was illogical and stupid I can't recall what it was but essentially it was "newbies to the sport don't understand the format"...

I mean you really can't expect me to remember all the hogwash I read, do you?

The NORMAL format is EASIER to see STAGE TIME and next to it, WHAT THAT STAGE TIME did to the current up to that point positions..

EASY, INSTANT, CLEAR

Yeah that's too confusing..

Smahe on you guys defending shit you know is stupid just to try and argue.

And 'smahe' on you for bitching just for bitching's sake.
You say you aren't upset yet you put the effort out to complain about it, name-call RA for doing it and to even suggest that they are the reason for the decline in the sport. (nope, wouldn't be the economic collapse in the US would it)

I'd (rightfully) call that 'worked up'... not necessarily upset or angry.

Really?

Pointless venting that doesn't have a rats ass of a chance of changing anything even if the motivating position is completely right is what you think belongs in venues like this?

Yah, I know you like you're little 'ranting troll' persona and that you're just fine with people defending your rants as 'that's just how John is' but, really

KB had transmission issues out of first service on Sunday. O car had an off. L'estage was leaking PS fluid at stage 2 start. Several people had flats on WM land icluding Hanson with 3. Billy Petrow blew motor, Gotlieb, young Van Way and Greenhouse rolled. Several regional guys had issues including Bushore on Day1. Ramana whooped arse and had a 3+min lead in SP and a third Overall again.

BTW:
Last year at Tall pines there was a scoring control that would collect times at some stage finishes. Everything was up to date and on time. Not sure if it was accesible thru the net as we were competing.

rally gods would turn in their graves if they ever knew Lada's were now part of EU rallying!!!

Whatever do you mean? I don't have a problem. Have you lost your sense of humor now, too?

This was our 6th straight year at at STPR and I think it was the smoothest and best run we've ever seen the event. Spectators were great, no major delays and good communication. We had a flat on saturday but luckily it was on rear and we were able to limp through the stage until we could change it on a transit.

Managed to pull off 2nd in 2WD when the dust settled, not too bad for a 36 year old car smiling smiley

Oooh ooh, this just in: Golves still dominatorizing US 2wdz rally despite being utterly unsuitable for rally!

Notes are a cruel joke.
US rally drivers are crap.
Therefore, it must be the car.
Go buy as many Golves as possible at once!

:-)

That's just because all of the roads are so flat and smooth that the hugely inherint flaws in the Golf can't be exposed.

I destroyed front-left top mount and finished the 2nd run through Waste Management stages with it banging around inside the tower. Got it back to service and swapped in an odd spare. Ran the rest of the rally(s) on the odd mix no issues (well, mostly). Was running on a JY tranny that we installed just before RTN since my rally transmission died following a rebuild.

Marcel is talking me into running NEFR.
