The 2nd B210 was called a Honey Bee, I think the stripe is incorrect though. Special edition I believe it was the cheapest car sold in the States in 1977 or so. It came with a 4spd, 1300cc, fixed seat backs, rubber rugs and no radio. Every dealer only got a couple. It was strictly to be used for a bait and switch, which was pretty easy when you saw the equipment list or lack of. I think it was about $2995 or so. I sold Datsuns then in Olympia , as well as Renault and AMC. What a menagerie at one dealership....

Okay, here's a pic, see what you can do. I'll try to get more once I actually get the car on Monday.

John, because I've never seen the underside of this car, please excuse my ignorance, but are the tensioner rods the front caster adjustment things you were talking about?

Aaron, UT registration is a motherfornicating pain. MN is so easy, you don't even need the car there, all you need is the title signed over and a drivers license. Besides, this new car won't pass emissions or safety at the moment (due to a push-button ignition, which is gonna change), so in the interest of racing, I figured an MN reg is the way to be. smiling smiley

it's a 79 and it would still need to pass emissions? really?

UT does emissions on everything 67ish and newer - and it's not a floating date, just fixed at 1960-whatever.

And, while I'm not a licensed safety inspector or anything, I haven't seen anything in the document that would prevent you from having a push-button ignition, but I haven't looked specifically for it either... http://publicsafety.utah.gov/safetyinspections/docs/X2009-2010%20SI%20PLT%20ManuaL.pdf

No argument on it being a PITA though.

Okay, so mine doesn't have the second set of threads, just the ones on the end. Do I need that type, or am I good with these?

Here's some pics.

I told Todd about your questions in here, but he was still out in the shop when I went to bed last night. He may not have gotten online at all yesterday. I'll remind him when I get home.

So much discussion and argument before, but that there's pictures, it falls silent. Hmmm, I fear treachery is afoot.

maybe some people are babysitting two wild girls all day then rushing down to the machine shop to carve on metal as soon as wifey is home and gets to sit down to dinner at 10PM and is tired and hates typing anyway...

And maybe we still need photos of the knuckle where the strut tube attaches to the knuckle....

There is always the t-e-l-e-p-h-o-n-e ya knows.

Yeah, I've seen that one, and it's been drilling a hole in my heart having it sit there and not let me strip parts from it. Being in Utah makes it very hard to justify going all that way for a parts car. Now, if somebody wanted to strip some of it for me, I might be able to make it worth their while...
