i was talking in regards to this generation of turbo colt. engine transmission suspensioin all the same as a 1g Talon / Eclipse

I have never ever ever seen one of these, ever. Is it a dodge or a mitsu or what?

yes

it's a dodge colt and a mitsubishi mirage and they are everywhere, I see them all the time, and they are cheap cheap cheap because the computers go bad and people replace tons of parts and can't figure out why they won't run right, and then sell them for $50-$350 dollars, get a good computer and bam you got a great commuter car that gets 35 mpg for nothing

Also known as the Eagle Summit (made by Jeep).

Road/Race built one years ago. All Eclipse parts. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I think it ended up getting balled up pretty severely on its first event. I can't remember who owned it, so I can't find anything on the intarwebs...

Ahhh! I used the Googles!

http://www.roadraceengineering.com/rre/raceteams/shibao/buildpart1.htm

Its not much, but at least its proof that I wasn't imagining the car...

The most important thing there is:
They drove from California to South Carolina to pick up the car.

Oh yeah that sounds like a brilliant thing to do to get a fuckin POS econo-shitbox that are "everywhere"........

i do not understand the compulsion to purposely make life difficult in the futile quest to imagine that you're "special' or a car project is "unique"....

Dave - They built a couple. Chris Burns had the G2 car that rolled at Laughlin a number of years back during it's maiden voyage. Ask Beavis about it, she was co-driving. They rolled like 7+ times or something fun.

Rob Shibo has the turbo one that you found on the intra-web. His is still in one piece and has run a couple CRS events, the last being Gorman 3-4 years ago. Amar co-drove for him.

Mike W. built one to drive back and forth to work. It made a crazy amount of power. I think it was in the 500hp range. It would reel in super cars down the front straight at Willow. I think there was a small magazine article about the car.

Yeah I've seen a few, what's the real question ?

One even rolled into a ball 2-3 cars in front of me in Laughlin and I don't think it was a Gr2 car.

Being that there was only 1500 of them made i would say they are far from everywhere.

They have a pretty good sized cult fallowing, maybe not in the rally world but there are car people out there they do not rally.
