Winter's here. Now What?
November 03, 2010 07:08PM
My last race for the year was the ChumpCar race at Portland this past weekend. All 6 laps of it for me, LOL. sad smiley

I guess this means that the "off season" has officially arrived for me. What to do?

I'll probably tinker with the race cars a bit. Mostly small stuff. I might get back into skiing. Maybe do some iPhone programming. Get my Ham radio license, too. Work out more. Maybe drink better beer?

So, what do you guys/gals normally do during the off season?

I-Phone programming! You into that sort of thing? I have a pretty damn good business idea for an app just don't have the time to learn how to program and develop it.

Go run the Big White Winter Rally in Kelowna the first weekend of Dec. Then it won't be over yet. tongue sticking out smiley

However, the weather yesterday and today tells me that winter is not here, hell, where is fall, we've still got summer hanging on. I dunno if it actually reached 70 today or not, but it sure felt like it. Sunshine all day with a nice breeze and it's supposed to be the same tomorrow.

(just looked, it hit 72, holy carp)

OK, I'll bite. What is it?

A friend is gonna lend me an Android phone, so I will be able to do both iPhone and Android soon.

wait for 12 inches of ice on the nearest lake.

go have fun!!

have bald tires? make them grip in the ice!

we generally plow a ~1-mile "course" on the ice, and have some 'time trials' or ice rallyX, or ice HPDE , or whatever you wanna call it. It's a blast!
