I took my pup to rallycrosses back in the day...this is probably why he washed out of the service dog program!

Crew Cab Rangers
January 16, 2011 12:00AM
I just got back from my first (and hopefully annual) flight from winter and xmas "stuff".. and I saw crew cab ford rangers everywhere. I never knew they existed. There were other small crew cab trucks as well.

Anyways, if I was going to make a vile handling pos rally truck, the crew cab ranger would be what I'd be looking at.

Wouldn't the Explorer Sport Track be our NA equivalent?

I had forgotten about those (never see them), but they had the older and slightly smaller ranger styles in full on crew cab everywhere. Even ones with the regular length box.

Yes, that body style with a Crew Cab. Put it on that frame, and your weight distribution and cab space problems are helped a bit winking smiley

Having co-driven twice in the above Ranger and once in the (thus far) only outing for Shawn AngryIron Smith's extended cab Ranger, I can say both were fun rides and have a surprising amount of room (at least compared to Healey's Z where I usually sit). Are they the fastest, best set up, most optimal platforms, etc, etc, etc? Nope, but fun nonetheless and better than I would have thought when first climbing in.

Oh, and I don't have a dog, but here's a pic of the ex's pup. That'll have to do.cool smiley
